contracting, trading and services. ACEI commenced business
activity in 1993.

From 1996 to 2006, ACEI has successfully installed and
commissioned more than 80 BEN fault and power quality recorders
in Tenaga Nasional Berhad’s 132kV, 275kV & 500kV transmission

which are located in East Malaysia.
CHANGE IN PRINCIPAL OWNERSHIP
The recorders, better known as BEN Fault Recorders, are
electronic instruments previously manufactured by LEM
Instruments but recently acquired by Qualitrol
Corporation, a US based leader in manufacturing and
supplier of instruments to utilities worldwide.
ACEI was retained as the sole distributor of BEN and
Qwave Power Quality recorders in Malaysia during the
acquisition, in addition to being appointed as sole
distributor of Qualitrol’s Fault and Travelling Wave
recorders by Qualitrol Corporation. ACEI now represents
and deals with well-known BRANDS such as LEM Components, FLUKE Instruments and MIWA systems in Malaysia.
FUTURE PLANS
Based on the current sales and project implementation
records, ACEI is projecting a substantial expansion
potential in both the West and East Malaysia. Hence,
ACEI continues to pursue the electrical & electronics
business for which the company is competent, and will
also intensify its operations in East Malaysia as well
as expand its business activities to other ASEAN
countries.
